The Power of Making Others Feel Seen and Loved

Have you ever met someone who left you feeling lighter, inspired, or simply seen—just because of how they showed up around you? Maybe you were having a bad day, and just by being around their energy or by having a conversation with them, your day got much better. Some people are medicine you didn’t know you needed. That’s the magic of leaving people better than you found them. And here’s the thing: it doesn’t take much. It’s about the little things we do every day that can leave a positive mark on someone’s heart.
I’ve been thinking about how we can all be that kind of person—the one who walks into the room shining bright rather than being a dark cloud. Here are a few easy ways to start:
1. Give genuine compliments💗
Not just “I love your shoes,” but something deeper like, “I love your new logo for your business, you’re so creative,” or “The way you handled that situation was inspiring.” Giving someone a compliment not always is about their looks, we can also make them feel seen by complimenting their actions or choices.
2. Listen without waiting to talk💗
Sometimes, people just need to feel heard. It’s one of the simplest gifts you can give someone, learn to listen without interrupting or needing to make it about you.
3. Support their dreams or goals💗
If someone shares a dream or goal, cheer them on! A few encouraging words can fuel someone more than you realize, they’re probably so scared of going for it but knowing they have someones support gives them the courage to take the leap.
4. Choose kindness even when it’s not easy💗
You never know what silent battles someone is fighting. A kind response can shift their entire day. The next time someone cuts in line at the coffee shop, think about how they might be late to work or rushing to a job interview, it’s not the obvious choice but kindness always wins.
5. Leave them with hope💗
Whether it’s a piece of advice, a shared laugh, or simply your presence, aim to leave them feeling more hopeful than when they met you.
This is one of the many reasons why I’m creating this community, Amigas Mia’s, so no matter who you are, where you come from or how many followers you have, you can feel supported by this community of women who uplift and support one another.
So this week’s challenge is to try and intentionally “leave someone better.” Send that encouraging text, compliment someone at the coffee shop, or just listen a little deeper. You’ll be surprised at how good it feels to make someone else’s day just by showing that you care.
Remember to send in your questions every Monday on “ASK AMIGAS” and join our channel on Instagram. And if this episode made you think of an amiga that would love to join our community, do me a favor and invite them! Because remember that we all win when we lift each other up.
