Amigas: Do These 5 Things Before The Clock Strikes Midnight Tonight
Your NYE Checklist☑️

New Year’s Eve is one of my favorite days of the year, why? Well first off because my family is Colombian and we throw the biggest party EVER and second, you get to leave the previous year behind—the good, the bad, the ugly—and start fresh into the new year.
There’s something powerful about this pause between years. The moment where we look back on all that we endured, where reflection and hope sit at the same table. I always think about everything this year asked of me—who I had to become to get through it, what I learned about myself, and what I’m no longer willing to take with me into 2026.
This night isn’t about pretending the year was perfect. It’s about honoring it. Even the messy parts. Especially the lessons that stretched you in ways you didn’t expect. Growth doesn’t always look pretty, but it will always leaves you wiser.
As the countdown gets closer, I like to get intentional. I have my rituals that I do every year to ensure I’m stepping into the new year with a clear mind, a grateful heart and a powerful vision. So I’m sharing these 5 rituals you MUST DO amigas before the clock strikes midnight tonight!
1️⃣ Close the year intentionally- Before midnight, grab pen and paper, starting with 2025, write down:
What your proudest moments were this year
What your hardest. moments were this year
What you’re leaving behind (habits, fears, situations, people)
Rip it up and burn your list, you are closing out 2025 and creating space for 2026!
Now for 2026, you’re going to write a letter to yourself that you’re going to stash away and not look at it until NYE 2026 and you’re going to include these 3 Big Life Goals:
3 Goals you want to accomplish:
Personal Growth Goal (this can be anything you want to accomplish in your personal life)
Career Driven Goal (this can be anything you want to accomplish at work or in your career)
Financial Goal (this can be a savings goal, a materialistic goal, you can even write down what you would like your relationship with your money to be)
And remember, this letter you’re putting away in a safe place an opening in on NYE 2026!
2️⃣ Clean + Reset Your Home: A clean space = a clear mind. Burn some sage, light a candle or open a window to let fresh energy in. Grab your purses and clean them out, throw out old lipglosses, hair ties, and make room for your new adventures to come! And most importantly don’t forget to clean out and organize your wallets, throw away old receipts, get rid of old credit cards you don’t use anymore and my personal favorite thing to do when I’m organizing and cleaning out my wallet is to replenish my “emergency cash fund” just in case you’re ever in a situation and need some cash!
3️⃣ This one will put you in the BEST mood to ring in the New Year! Set your aligned intentions as you’re getting ready for the night while looking at yourself in the mirror: Instead of focusing on materialistic things of what you want, focus and tell yourself how you want to feel in the new year and feel all of the feels as you’re getting ready in the mirror.
Do you want to feel?
Peaceful
Confident
Abundant
Healthy
Happy
All of the above? Same, repeat the affirmations and feel your positive intentions all the way into 2026!
4️⃣ Speak it into existence- Right before or after midnight, say out loud:
“I welcome you 2026 with a grateful heart. I welcome clarity, abundance, and ease. I trust myself and I’m ready for what’s next.”
Your words carry power—start the year claiming it.
5️⃣ Since my family is Colombian, I’m going to share our Colombian traditions that we do at midnight to ring in the new year and you can try them with your family and amigas!
When the clock strikes midnight we eat 12 grapes that are in our champagne glasses, they symbolizes the 12 months of the year, and you make a wish for every grape you eat
We also write our letter with our wishes for 2026 and we burn it
My favorite and funniest tradition is we take an empty suitcase and run around the house or our neighborhood (LOL) this symbolizes trips and adventure in the new year
For abundance and wealth we throw lentils on each other
Another tradition is that we wear yellow underwear for “Good Luck”
And last but not least, a prayer to close out the year and begin the new one with a grateful and happy heart. Here is a quick prayer you can repeat tonight:
“Dear God, guide me, protect me and align my steps this year. Lead me where I’m meant to go. Amen.”
I just want to say thank you Amigas- from the bottom of my heart, this year was full of new beginnings that stretched me, changed me, and asked me to believe before I had proof. The launch of Amigas Mia’s, my journals, and new business ventures were all built in moments of faith, late nights, and quiet prayers- and you showed up every step of the way. Your support reminded me that I wasn’t walking this path alone and for that I am grateful.
Cheers to health, happiness, and abundance Amigas as we step into our best year yet!!! 💖✨2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣✨🥂
Besos, Jenn💋
